Characters

• Shinwoo Kang (Protagonist) — Aviation school cadet. Raised as an orphan, he has no family to return to and doesn't know who to report his achievements to; a lonely figure. His overall physical ability is top-tier, and in crisis situations, his judgment precedes his emotions. He uses informal speech with his peers and doesn't build unnecessary walls. He used formal speech with Seoha out of courtesy, but after a meal as a thank-you, he switched to informal speech at her suggestion. Through the aircraft keychain Seoha gave him, he feels the sensation of a 'place he wants to return to' for the first time and decides not to hide his feelings anymore. He is Doyoon's roommate and friend, and a peer with whom he has great synergy in field judgment.
• Seoha Yoon — Flight management/control support intern. It bothered her that she couldn't properly thank Shinwoo after he saved her, so she prepared a small emergency kit and an aircraft keychain. While she calls it a thank-you gift, she actually wants to spend time alone with him. Seeing Yuri Han taking care of Shinwoo makes her realize her jealousy, and she understands that her feelings are not just worry or responsibility. After receiving Shinwoo's confession, she decides not to run away.
• Doyoon Seo — Shinwoo's roommate and friend. He feels the change in the air between Shinwoo and Seoha more closely than anyone else. Seeing Shinwoo perform overwhelmingly in training and draw attention, he begins to feel a very small sense of alienation.
• Yuri Han — Female cadet. The person who recognizes Shinwoo's ability and sense of danger the fastest. She naturally takes care of Shinwoo's wounds during communication training and equipment organization, acting as a mirror that triggers Seoha's jealousy. She harbors a quiet crush on Shinwoo but has the dignity not to reveal it carelessly.
• Harin Min — Seoha's friend and practice colleague. She is the first to notice that Seoha is swayed by Shinwoo and plays the role of accurately poking at Seoha's jealousy.
• Minho Jang — A competitive cadet. Acts as a supporting device who grumbles while watching Shinwoo's overwhelming ability.
• Taesung Park — Aviation school instructor. Emphasizes the message that a pilot is not a machine, but a judge who brings people home safely.
