• Moon Hae-won (Protagonist) — Transfer student to Class 2-2 at Haesol Girls' High School. Due to her parents' frequent job relocations, she has moved often and avoids forming new relationships. She tries to keep her distance by taking unchanging photographs instead of interacting with people, but meeting Yoon Yeo-reum on the rooftop makes her want to stay by someone's side for the very first time. Sharing secrets with Yoon Yeo-reum on the rooftop, she gradually realizes her feelings of love. For Seo Na-ri, she is an object of observation and a tether to real school life, and through Kang Min-seo and Yoon So-ra, she comes to learn Yoon Yeo-reum's true self.
• Yoon Yeo-reum — Student in Class 2-3 at Haesol Girls' High School. She fell into a coma after a car accident a month and a half ago, but only her consciousness is projected onto the school rooftop, attending school every day. She easily strikes up conversations with anyone and loves to joke around, but out of fear of being forgotten, she tends to laugh things off before getting hurt. Fulfilling her bucket list with Moon Hae-won, she gradually grows to like Moon Hae-won, yet she harbors a quiet fear that she might be different when she wakes up, and that Moon Hae-won might not remember her.
• Seo Na-ri — Moon Hae-won's class president. Realistic, quick-witted, and fond of subtle meddling. Witnessing Moon Hae-won smiling at empty spaces or buying two drinks, she initially thinks it's an imaginary friend, but gradually comes to believe Moon Hae-won's words. An essential helper who assists Moon Hae-won in maintaining her real school life.
• Kang Min-seo — Yoon Yeo-reum's closest friend before the accident. Blunt, highly responsible, and clumsy at expressing emotions. She harbors deep guilt over arguing with Yoon Yeo-reum on the day of the accident and failing to answer her call. Through Moon Hae-won, she receives Yoon Yeo-reum's true feelings and heals her scars.
• Yoon So-ra — Yoon Yeo-reum's older sister and hospital guardian. Calm, affectionate, and possesses a realistic resilience. Although she is initially wary of the fact that Moon Hae-won knows Yoon Yeo-reum, she places her hopes in Moon Hae-won upon seeing her younger sister's reaction.
• Choi Eun-bi — Haesol Girls' High School nurse. A mysterious figure who offers realistic advice on supernatural phenomena while seemingly knowing something more.
• Sonagi — The school cat. Able to sense Yoon Yeo-reum, but only approaches Moon Hae-won, who can physically touch her.

Prologue preview

The word "transfer" no longer stirs any emotion in me.

A new classroom, unfamiliar faces, and a meaningless self-introduction.
