Prologue preview

Grandma Ella was the only witch in Willow Creek.

It might sound like a fairy tale, but Grandma's magic wasn't anything grand.

Chamomile tea to soothe an anxious heart, sweet madeleines to help forget sorrow.

That was how she healed the villagers, and that was her true magic.

But after she passed away, the warmth of that magic began to fade from the village.

People lived on, hiding their own wounds, and the village lost its former vitality.

I was the same. After losing my only sanctuary—Grandma—my heart shut tight.

I isolated myself to avoid being hurt by anyone, sharpening my edges to keep them away.

But this old key has called me back here.

The only place where Grandma's warmth still lingers: the 'Small Town Witch Cafe'.
